Days hot like sex; unbearably hot, sticky/dirty/sweaty hot; the I-can't-bear-it-yes-it's-so-good kind of heat.  Loose-limbed and sleek, the body reclines, cooled by fans.  And then the inevitable rain, pouring benedictions and slipping like a lover into the folds and creases of skin, warm and cool, it is your sin and forgivenes, your baptism.
